Kolap Mao has been working in the library field since 2001. She first worked at the Pannasastra Universi-ty of Cambodia (PUC) library as a library assistant. She was promoted to be a library manager in 2003 and then library director in 2005. In 2008, Ms. Mao left PUC to pursue a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She graduated in 2010, and returned home to resume her position as the library director at PUC. Since 2012, she has been working with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Room to Read, Sipar, and the Shanti Volunteer Association to improve the quality of school libraries and to promote reading in the country. In December 2012, she drafted ideal academic library standards for the Accreditation Committee of Cambo-dia (ACC). In 2013, Ms. Mao was selected to be the vice president of the Cambodian Librarians and Documentalists Association. As part of her library training, she not only provides trainees with library skills, but also fosters a passion for reading and importance of libraries.

Director of SIPAR since 2004, Mr. HOK Sothik is in charge of management of an international team of 42 persons and of general coordination of 4 Education Programs focusing on Reading Development and Book Publishing in Cambodia. A graduate of Russian and French literature and civilization, Sothik holds a Master of Arts of Pedagogy in Russia and a Masters 2 in Science of Education and Training in France. Sothik held various positions within the SIPAR before becoming its Director in 2004.
